More Stupidity

Mr. Kirchner, President of Argentina, has done it again. He stood up the Queen of Holland who had specially invited him to a gala concert but he preferred to go home to Santa Cruz Province where he lives. The Queen had flown a troop of ballet dancers down to Buenos Aires specifically for the occasion.
I believe she was not too happy.

Kirchner, who has been given a blank check by Congress to run the country as he sees fit, has done this several times before: The King of Spain, The Prime Minister of Formosa, China, the premier of Italy, and he has also kicked the Waterworks company Suez , French, out of the country. He cut down exports of natural gas to Chile thus breaking an international contract between the governments of both countries and told Chirac he won’t be welcome here.

Kirchner was governor of a big, empty province in cold, southern Patagonia rich in oil, fishing and minerals with 200,000 people. He won the elections in Argentina with only 22% of the votes. He and his wife, since they were transformed through some strange politics into President and First Lady, have ruled the country by decree rather than through Congress, despite the nation’s constitution, modelled after that of the United States. He is currently a virtual dictator.
